Part of Colne Road in Cross Hills has been closed to traffic this morning following a collision in which three people were injured.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the accident - which happened shortly before 10am - involved a lorry, a Ford Fiesta and a Kia.

He added: "An elderly woman suffered non-life-threatening chest injuries and has been taken to Airedale Hospital.

"The driver of the Kia and his son were also taken to Airedale, but were not badly hurt."

Speaking soon after 11.30am, he said the road was expected to be open again very shortly.
