Body recovered from lake is that of missing fisherman

Police have today confirmed a body recovered from Ullswater is fisherman Mark Bryant from Beamsley.
Officers in Cumbria say the body of the 55-year-old, who was last seen on Tuesday, was discovered by divers from the Underwater Search Team in the lake, at about 7.30pm last night following a day-long search also involving police, the coastguard and the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team.
Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death at this time.
The coroner and Mr Bryant’s immediate family have been informed.
